Data activities


This supplemental activity provides students with the opportunity to develop their quantitative skills by analyzing sample measurements provided by Stephen Palumbi. The data are from the acclimatization experiment depicted in Figure 2 of the paper.

The activity includes a worksheet that can be tailored to fit either a high school or undergraduate classroom (use the red font as a guide), and walks students through the data set, descriptive statistics, interpretation, and using techniques like the Student's t-test to draw statistically valid conclusions.
